Meet Punkin spice a 2020 Kia Soul in Mars Orange
I love this little detail. Forest says “Hi!”
The 2013 Soul has been officially named The Toaster and has been passed on to LittleGolem she is pleased.
For 2020 Kia has dropped the 1.6 and the 6 speed auto for what they call an IVT which is a CVT with a different name. My wife is in love. The extra .4L the smooth CVT, Android Auto and so comfy seats combine to make her love Punkin S
pice in a way she never could love The Toaster

Love that color.
How’s it drive with the bigger engine? Last one I drove was a 2012 ( I think ) with the 1.6L 6-speed manual, adequate was about all I could say about it. I didn’t mind it otherwise, but we regrettably ended up with a 2012 Corolla S instead. We shoulda just bought a Kia.....

How far KIA has come...people would have questioned your sanity had you said this 20 years ago.

In it’s defense that Corolla made my 25 yo, 200k mile Mopars look like pillars of reliability....
Really though, Kia/Hyundai have been making some really good vehicles for a while now, people just need to get over the label.

Yea, 20 years ago is probably right when they started turning things around. They really make some quality cars these days.

A definite improvement over our 2013 I'd say. I think I prefer the 2019 looks

I was following one of these the other day and was disappointed to discover that the 3rd brake light is not the entire top strip.

It super smooth and comfy. The 2.0 provides some extra grunt. It's not mind blowing but it is very noticeable compared to the 1.6. The IVT is super smooth and not irritating.

My wife and I rented a brand new 2017 for our honeymoon, It was a great and easy car to drive. Only complaint we had was that the trunk space is too small so we had to fold the rear seats down to make space for our luggage.

Just regular bulbs under there so NBD but Id rather not look up lense replacement.

Yeah pretty lame but that makes it cheaper to replace. Something like the Charger would be pretty sweet.

We liked it so much we bought another.

The 2020 has slightly more
rear cargo space. We usually take Forest for trips because it has way more cargo space.

Also I just noticed the Charlie's sticker. The 2001 Outback that was my first car was purchased by the original owner from Charlie's. I remember this because by the time we bought it as a 10 year old car that sticker had turned a nasty shade of brown and started taking clear coat with it when we tried to remove it.
